Before publishing: replace the registered address and the Grievance Officer's name in section 12. Both are required under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, and app stores check that this page names a real contact.
Felicet Technologies Private Limited ("Felicet", "we", "us") builds the Felicet Partner and Felicet Business apps and the platform behind them. This policy explains what we collect when you use those apps, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We collect what the service needs to work — matching people to jobs, proving attendance, and paying wages — and no more.
1. Who the data controller is
Felicet Technologies Private Limited is the data fiduciary for personal data processed through the Felicet apps. Where a business uses Felicet to manage its own staff, that business determines how attendance and payroll records about its staff are used; we process those records on its instructions and on our own behalf for running the platform.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Mobile number, name, profile photo, preferred language | Creating and securing your account; OTP sign-in |
| Identity & KYC | Aadhaar and PAN details, GST and statutory details, verification call records | Verifying that a partner or business is who they claim to be, as required for paid work |
| Work profile | Role, industry, skills, skill-test results, ratings, Felicet Score | Matching you to jobs and showing businesses relevant candidates |
| Location | Device location at check-in and check-out, and while a shift is active | Confirming attendance at the correct site; job search near you |
| Camera | Check-in selfie, profile photo, document photographs | Confirming who attended a shift; KYC document capture |
| Attendance & pay | Shifts, leave, overtime, corrections, wage credits, wallet balance | Running attendance, payroll and the wallet ledger |
| Payout details | Bank account or UPI identifier for withdrawals | Paying you |
| Communications | In-app chat, support tickets, complaints, AI assistant conversations | Support, dispute resolution, safety |
| Device & usage | Device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, notification token | Delivering notifications, diagnosing crashes, preventing abuse |
3. Location, camera and other permissions
The apps ask for permission the first time a feature needs it, and explain why at that moment. You can decline, and you can withdraw any permission later in your device settings.
- Location — used to show jobs near you and to verify that a check-in happened at the workplace. Where location is collected during an active shift, this is disclosed in the app before the shift starts. Declining location means check-in and nearby job search will not work.
- Camera — used for the check-in selfie, your profile photo, and photographing KYC documents. We do not access your camera in the background.
- Photos and files — used only for images you choose to upload.
- Notifications — used for job invites, attendance reminders, approvals and payment updates.
We do not sell location data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How the AI assistant uses your data
The in-app assistant answers questions using your own records on the platform — your shifts, pay, jobs and the policies that apply to you — retrieved at the time you ask. Conversations are stored so that you and our support team can refer back to them. We do not use your conversations or your personal data to train third-party foundation models.
5. Why we process your data
- To provide the service you signed up for — hiring, attendance, payroll, billing and payouts.
- To verify identity and prevent fraud, impersonation and duplicate accounts.
- To calculate reliability signals such as the Felicet Score, from attendance and job outcomes.
- To provide support, investigate complaints and resolve payment disputes.
- To meet legal, tax and statutory obligations.
- To keep the platform secure and to improve it.
6. Who we share it with
- The business you work for, or the partner you hire. A business sees the work profile, attendance, and shift records of people it has hired or invited. A partner sees the business, outlet and job details.
- Service providers who process data on our instructions — cloud hosting, SMS and OTP delivery, push notifications, KYC verification, and payment and payout processing.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
7. Where data is stored
Platform data is stored on servers operated for Felicet. Some service providers may process data outside India; where they do, we require contractual safeguards for that transfer.
8. How long we keep it
- Account and work profile data: while your account is active.
- Attendance, wage, wallet and payout records: retained for the period required by tax, labour and accounting law, even after an account is closed.
- KYC records: retained as long as required by the verification obligations that apply to us.
- Support conversations and complaints: up to three years after the matter is closed.
- Crash and diagnostic logs: up to 12 months.
9. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to erase data we no longer need — subject to the retention periods above;
- withdraw a consent you gave, without affecting processing already carried out;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to; and
- complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Write to privacy@felicettechnologies.com. We respond within 30 days.
10. Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time — from inside the app, or from felicettechnologies.com/delete-account, which explains what is deleted and what we must keep.
11. Children
The Felicet apps are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.
